ABOUT ME:

Hello! I am Ronnie Sims and I have worked for Scottsbluff Public Schools for 6 years now.  I am a 4th Grade teacher at Longfellow Elementary and also run the Longfellow Elementary Boy's Club.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Chadron State College and then decided to have a change in major.  I changed my major to teaching and received my Teaching Certificate/Master's Degree at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.  I have now lived in Scottsbluff for about 18 years.  My wife Jenna is a RN at Regional West Medical Center and we have two children, Grayson (6) and Nora (3).  I enjoy all outdoor activities, reading, and playing my guitar.  Most of all, I really love kids, and teaching is what I was meant to do!!  Unless you ask my teachers when I was growing up.

Scholastic has a lot of great free resources. Enjoy!

Here is reading website that you will explore your wonders.

http://www.wonderopolis.org/

Here is a site that you would be able to print off worksheets, or if you don't have a printer, just let your child work the problems out on separate piece of paper.

https://www.educationworld.com/a_lesson/archives/math_practice_4_you.shtml

Online Math Games.  It does give you an option to pay $2 for no ads for 1 year.  But you don't have to pay the $2 to actually play games, you will just see ads.

http://www.hoodamath.com/

Also another great site for any school subject and any grade level is:

https://quizizz.com/admin?searchActive=true

This site allows you to search any subject and play in the form of a game.  It will give you results of how your child did.  You can search anything from math, reading, science, etc... to cartoon characters, sports, video games, etc...

This site is strictly online math concepts.  Easy signup and free.

A Social Studies site I use during our Oregon Trail Section is:

https://classicreload.com/oregon-trail.html

This is a fun game that will teach the students what it was like traveling on the Oregon Trail!!
